Claude Monet was a painter from Paris, France. He lived from November 1840 to December 1926. People now regard him as the founder of impressionism. I selected him because I enjoy his style of painting. They are all very soft and flowy paintings that consist of very tiny brush strokes. There is a lot of detail in each one as well. You can tell the images are French because they show very beautiful flowers, women in the fashion of that time, and French landscapes. Some of his paintings are such a blur and are somewhat abstract because they are so zoomed in.
Cool colors painted softly and blended together make this a very calm painting. There must be something above it because you can see it's reflection in the water.

Soft and cool colors are used in this painting. Very small brush strokes were used in the great detail.

This painting is mainly an array of warm colors. This is a prime example of tiny brush strokes and a blur abstract image.

A scenery painting with all colors. The red boats really pop out from the cool background.

A silouette is the main focus in this painting. Warm colors are in the middle, then fade into cool colors on the top and bottom borders.

This is a prime example of how Money paints with many details and making a lot of the strokes blurred.

I like this painting because it reminds me of Clear Lake and our sea wall. This place is way prettier though.

This painting is cute with it's backyard garden, and small lunch table. There is a lot of blurry detail in this one too.
